From February 27, 2020, the masks must be officially declared for company recipient. If it is used for sample testing, it can be exempted if allowed by customs.

If the purpose of import is “for personal usage”, there is no limit on the weight and quantity, but it depends on the discretion of the customs.

If the masks import under the company name and for surgical sales usage, it must obtain an import license issued by the KFDA.

However, starting from March 5, 2020, if the recipient submits an “exemption application form” to the customs, indicating that it is used for company internal use or donation, the customs will temporarily exempt it.

Personal masks can be imported up to 3000 pcs each time, but the reason for import should be personal use, and the limit of weight and quantity is subject to customs’ judgment.

Notice:
